How much is a men's perm in Paris?
At XOXO COIFFURE, a perm is from €70 on very short hair, from €95 on short hair and from €135 on medium and long hair, at the Essentiel level (simple styling included). The Sur-Mesure level, which adds a curl treatment and detailed styling, is from €90, €115 and €155. The consultation is included, and we tell you the total price before we start.
How long does a perm take?
On very short hair, 1 hr at the Essentiel level and 1 hr 15 min at the Sur-Mesure level; on short hair, 1 hr 25 min and 1 hr 40 min; on medium and long hair, 1 hr 50 min and 2 hr. A cut booked with it adds its own time.
How much length do I need?
At least 5–6 cm on top. On very short hair, with a short top and shaved sides, we favour a perm on top only. The more length, the more visible the curl.
Will a perm damage my hair?
A perm changes the structure of the hair. The consultation beforehand, the curl treatment of the Sur-Mesure level and a weekly mask at home limit its effect on the hair fibre.
Can I have a perm on coloured hair?
On tone-on-tone colour, yes. Bleached or balayaged hair is more fragile: if it is too damaged, the consultation (included) steers you towards a Genoma or hair botox treatment; failing that, we advise against the perm.
How long does a perm last, and how do I look after it?
3 to 4 months, depending on your hair type and aftercare. Shampoo 2 to 3 times a week rather than every day, use a moisturising mask once a week, let it air-dry or use a diffuser, and style it with a texturising mousse or a curl cream. We advise you for your own hair on the day.

At 159 bis boulevard du Montparnasse, 75006 Paris, between Vavin and Port-Royal. RER B Port-Royal is a 3-minute walk, metro Vavin (line 4) 6 minutes and Montparnasse-Bienvenüe (lines 4, 6, 12 and 13) 12 minutes. Bus 91 stops 50 m away (Campagne Première).
